On December 9, I had the honor of playing on a Holiday concert at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. In addition to the concert which was broadcast in-house to wounded soldiers, I was also able to play in the lobby both before and after the show.

I found out the morning of the show that Allison Krauss and Dan Tyminsky had been planning on coming up for the show, but were unable to fly due to bad weather. While it would have been exciting to be on the same show with them, the real story here is the wounded soldiers and staff at Walter Reed. Hopefully our music provided a respite and comfort in this Holiday season.
